Tyrconnel Madeira Finish
Tyrconnell Madeira Cask Finish is aged 10 years in used Bourbon barrels, then finished in casks previously used to age Madeira, a fortified wine hailing from a group of islands off the coast of Portugal. Bottled at 46% to bring out the flavour nuances of its casks.
Nose
Aromas of sweet Madeira, red fruits, overripe oranges, caramel, sweet wine, vanilla and honey.
Taste
More fruit, sweet dry Madeira flavours balanced by some mild oak and woody tastes.
Finish
A medium finish. Sweet red fruit, woody oak and raisins.
